Policy Statement
The Sunflower Seed Foundation
bases its policies first and foremost upon the laws of the United States of America. The SSF is also bound to the requirements that accompany federal tax exempt status.
In addition, the SSF has six core values:Â

To place love of a neighbor at the forefront of our purposes and actions.
Respect
To welcome and admire new personalities, perspectives, and ideas different from our own.
Understanding
To be one collective awareness aspiring to learn from everything and everyone.
Reflection
To review and assess our words and actions to ensure we are being mindful of others as we continue to learn and grow.
Honesty
To combat pride and promote teamwork by being truthful to ourselves and those around us.
Exploration
To be courageous and pursue opportunities for growth and new knowledge.
The SSF believes in building bridges between peoples and cultures, meeting people where they are and seeking to understand before being understood. Universal to humanity is an individual’s propensity to dream, and inherent within every dream is hope. The powers of hopes and dreams are held in high esteem by the SSF and are the basis for our strivings.
